This Homemade Cheese Dip Recipe, with simple ingredients and lots of garlic, is the best breakfast spread or party dip one can ever have. A mixture of real cheese and sour cream gives you the advantage of picking between a dip or a spread, depending on your liking.

I am sure you do have dishes you still will remember. Forgotten, they even exist. And then only one little try and you are back in your memories.

This exactly happened to me this summer.

I got invited for a BBQ, and this spread or a dip was on the table. 

I took a little piece of my cucumber and WOHO. At that moment, I felt I needed a whole bowl. All I could think of was my childhood.

Where was this all those years? How is it possible that I have lived without this for so long? And how is it possible that I have completely forgotten about this? So forgotten. We used to have this exact homemade cheese dip all the time. As kids, every time we played outside, one of the mums brought slices of bread with a paste, and we used to fight over who got the biggest piece.

But not anymore.

The best thing is that it will always live here, so nobody will ever forget. You eat it once and will have to eat it all the time. Trust me on this.

Dips made with real cheese have a distinct advantage over processed cheese ones. Real cheese adds a rich and authentic flavor to dips, while processed cheese can often taste artificial and lacks the depth of flavor that real cheese provides.

When we look at the carbs, most processed cheese brands add flavorings that contain carbs, which we do not want.

I am also attaching complete video step-by-step instructions for those who prefer visualization. Even though you might not need to make this homemade recipe using only three ingredients has never been more straightforward.

This recipe is so simple to make, that it requires just a few steps. First of all, prepare all of your ingredients. It is best to shred your cheese at home and crush all the garlic using a garlic press.
