TikTok Viral Baked Feta Pasta
Last week as I was scrolling some videos on TikTok, Baked Feta Pasta jumped at me. And as I was scrolling, it was not only once or twice, but every second or third video was this super easy and yummy dish.
Who Invented TikTok Viral Baked Feta Pasta?
Only after writing this post for you I have found all of the inventors of this fabulous recipe. In Finland, it even made feta cheese run out in all stores because of this.
Jenni from Liemessa with her UUnivetapasta made it super viral in Finland, which then followed with double viral in the USA with MacKenzie from Grilledcheesesocial giving this recipe its actual name.
After about 15 minutes, I was hooked and had to make it the same day. Luckily for me, my order of Palmini Noodles arrived and I was just thinking what would be the best dish to make with.
At that moment, I have decided to combine them both and you can enjoy this scrumptious Keto Noodles dish as well.
Palmini Pasta
Some of you might ask.
What is Palmini Pasta?
I have never tried them before and living in Europe, I was not even trying to look for them.
I somehow believed, there will be no way to buy this Keto Pasta in our part of the world, similar to any other yummy Keto Goodies only Americans can enjoy.
But as I was on Amazon, there they were. Had to jump in and give it a try.
And I have to tell you, my family fully approved of them. And that is a big step.
Hearts of Palm
Palmini Noodles are made directly from Hearts of Palm. Shaped into various Low Carb Pasta alternatives, you can find Angel hair, Linguine, Lasagna, or Rice.
Once fully rinsed and added to your dish, you will not even know those are not real noodles.
Palmini Noodles does not need to be cooked and can be served straight from the can.
How does Palmini Pasta taste like?
When you try them straight out of the can, they have a slightly sour taste, which disappears once you fully wash them.
Taste is similar to al dente noodles, which I love and have decided to keep it at that. They are great used raw as well such as this hearts of palm avocado salad.
But if you would like to have them a bit softer, you can boil them for 5-10 minutes.
If you find Palmini Noodles too acidic, you can also soak them in nut milk or cream for a while and then rinse once again.
Feta Cheese
Another main ingredient in this TikTok Viral Recipe is feta cheese.
Feta Cheese is a popular Greek Cheese made from Sheep or Goat milk.
It is usually part of fresh cold healthy salads mixed with olives and oregano like this Greek cucumber salad.
This is one of the reasons, I have added dry Oregano in as well.
Can you cook Feta Cheese?
Did you know, you can also cook Feta Cheese?
I did not.
Well, I never even thought of it as we use this cheese mostly in our cold salads and for baking, I always have at home our Homemade Farmers Cheese.
Only after watching those TikTok Viral Videos, I have seen how perfectly Feta Cheese melts once baked.
And together with tomatoes, Feta turns into a perfect Pasta Sauce everyone loves.
How to make Keto Baked Feta Pasta?
Kitchen gadgets you might need:
Ingredients needed:
- Palmini Noodles
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Feta Cheese
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Oregano
- Fresh Basil Leaves
- Black Pepper
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR KETO BAKED FETA PASTA
First Step: Prepare Ingredients
Prepare all of your ingredients for easier assembly.
First of all, wash your Palmini noodles to get rid of the acidic flavor they have inside the container. I usually wash them under hot water for a few minutes.
Cut your garlic head into half since you only need 1/2.
Cut your fresh basil leaves and prepare oregano, black pepper, olive oil, and feta cheese.
Cherry tomatoes could be cut in half or thrown in as a whole piece.
Second Step: Tomato, Feta, and Garlic
Using any of your baking dishes or a cast iron throw in cherry tomatoes, feta cheese in the middle, and half garlic.
Third Step: EVO Oil & Spices
Sprinkle with your favorite extra-virgin olive oil and add black pepper and dry oregano.
Since it is winter I have used dried oregano, but if you have fresh that would work better.
You can also add more spices such as chili flakes or Italian seasoning.
You can mix cherry tomatoes with olive oil and placed the whole baking dish into the oven for 25 minutes up to half an hour.
Fourth Step: Garlic and mash
Once everything is baked, take all the garlic from the skin and gently using your fork mash tomatoes and garlic together. Here you can decide if you like to mash it fully or leave more chunks of tomatoes as well as garlic.
Gently mash the feta cheese as well.
What I have done, is left the cast iron for extra five minutes to cool down, and then I started to mash the feta cheese.
This cooled the feta cheese a bit and added more crumble which I like.
Fifth Step: Mix
Mix everything.
Sixth Step: Add Keto Noodles
Once everything is mixed together you can add your choice of Keto noodles, in our case Palmini Angel Hair.
Seventh Step: Fresh Basil Leaves
Sprinkle with freshly cut basil leaves which will give a wonderful flavor to baked feta pasta.
Eight Step: Enjoy
Enjoy straight out of the cast iron or serve accordingly.
TIPS & TRICKS
- No salt – I have not added extra salt to this dish because Feta is already pretty salty, but you can add tomato powder instead for an additional flavor.
- Let Feta Cheese cool for approx. 5 minutes after baking – this returns the crumbliness to feta which I do prefer.
- Wash Palmini Noodles – fully wash Palmini Noodles under hot water
- Palmini to acidic – soak them in nut milk or cream for a while and then rinse
- Palmini too hard – boil them for 5-10 minutes

The while recipie doesn’t make sense, what do you do with the “cast iron” it doesn’t say anything about using it but then serve in it??????
You can use cast iron instead of casserole dish. Whatever you prefer.
OMG!! Where do I start, this was so outrageously good. I already have my grocery list prepared for tomorrow so I can do this all over again. I to never thought about roasting a brick of feta, great idea. I did add a few shakes of red pepper and I added some (zatar) greek seasoning. I used bulgarian feta as the domestic is to salty for my taste. This one is very creamy. I will make this over & over. It’s very addicting. Thank-you so much for the recipe.
So happy you love it. I need to add zatar next time. Love it as well. Keep adding various veggies or spices and make it every single day tiny bit different.
great minds think a like!!!
Happy for that.
