As I have finally nailed down my Homemade Keto Gnocchi Recipe for all of you, all of the additional recipes can follow.

Low Carb Spinach Gnocchi Recipe is one of the first ones I have immediately thought of after trying them. 

Followed went Keto Gnocchi with Bacon and Cream Sauce and Keto Gnocchi Tomato Basil.

And no wonder. Just look at that beautiful color of fresh spinach.

Complimenting the outstanding taste of Keto Gnocchi Di Papate, I have combined the flavors of Garlic and Spinach with Sour cream.

Keto Gnocchi

As you might have seen my original recipe with Keto Gnocchi, where I have tried to explain everything possible into making them as best as you can, I do not think I should repeat it here.

Therefore, I will go straight into the perfect simple and easy recipe, that not only looks outstanding but is extra defined in texture and taste.

Keto Gnocchi with Spinach

To achieve the perfect taste, I have combined Fresh Spinach leaves together with Garlic. 

Added Sour cream for a touch of sourness as well as pulling the vibrant green color from Spinach. 

As the tip of the cake, I have sprinkled it with dried Turmeric to compliment not only the healthiness of this perfect Keto Gnocchi dish but the color combination as well.

How To Make Homemade Low Carb Gnocchi with Fresh Spinach

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR KETO GNOCCHI WITH SPINACH RECIPE

First Step: Keto Gnocchi

Prepare your Gnocchi either on the day or in advance. 

Our Keto Gnocchi recipe is so perfect in the sense, that they can be prepared well in advance and either stored in the refrigerator for a few days or frozen. 

Whatever method you choose, make sure you have them prepared to go with our recipe.

Second Step: Prepare Ingredients

Prepare all of the ingredients. 

For spinach, use young fresh leaves if possible as they give you the best mild taste of the fresh spinach.

I have used sour cream to add a little bit of sourness into the dish, plus keeping the beautiful fresh green color of spinach leaves. 

You can also use Greek Yogurt in case you do not have sour cream available.

Third Step: Cook Gnocchi

Prepare your gnocchi for cooking.

In a pot with boiling water, add a little bit of oil and salt and cook gnocchi for approximately five minutes depending on the size.

Take them out with your sieve and place them aside.

Fourth Step: Garlic & Oil

In a cooking pot start cooking garlic together with oil of your choice until garlic gets beautifully golden brown.

Fifth Step: Fresh Spinach Leaves

Once your garlic is cooked into golden brown, add fresh spinach leaves mix it, and let it cook on medium heat.

You can close the pot with a lid to make your spinach steam a little bit more. 

As you see on our video and as we all know the number of spinach leaves normally shrinks.

You do not have to worry about cooking spinach leaves for longer, as the fresher they are, the more healthiness they have, and the nicer color they retain.

Sixth Step: Sour Cream

Once you see your spinach leaves have been steamed and have shrunk, you can add sour cream and mix them all.

Because of using sour cream, you may experience your cream getting curdled together with spinach. This is because of the sourness inside the cream and you do not have to worry.

Using the next steps and blending all in the magic bullet will bring all of the creaminess back.

Seventh Step: Magic Bullet

Using your Magic Bullet or any other hand blender or mixer, pour all of the spinach and sour cream mixture in and fully blend until everything is mixed into one beautiful green creamy texture.

Eight Step: Pour

Make sure your Keto Gnocchi are still warm. 

If not, warm them up and place them into a plate you are going to serve it in.

Pour all of the creamy spinach mixtures onto your Low Carb Gnocchi.

Ninth Step: Turmeric

Using a turmeric powder adds a beautiful color complement to our Keto Gnocchi with fresh Spinach and also multiplies more into the healthiness.

Turmeric powder is optional and it depends on you if you would like to use it or not as it does not have any major taste of flavor.

Tips and tricks

Using Sour Cream – Using sour cream may curdle your sauce together with spinach. Blending it afterward will bring the creaminess back.

No Sour cream – not a problem. Use Greek Yogurt instead

Turmeric Powder – optional as it does not adds major flavor to the dish.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

What type of Spinach can you use for Gnocchi?

Fresh is fresh and that is what I always suggest.

But of course, when you do not have fresh spinach, that is not a problem at all. Use frozen spinach from your supermarket.

How to store Keto Gnocchi with Spinach Sauce?

After you make those perfect Keto Gnocchi together with Fresh Spinach Sauce, it is best to eat them immediately.
But just in case you are going to be left with more, as they are pretty filling, you can store them for 2-3 days in an air tight glass container in the refrigerator. 

Can you freeze Keto Gnocchi?

You can certainly freeze the whole Keto Gnocchi dish with Spinach Sauce.
If possible, I would suggest to freeze your gnocchi raw and use them once you are ready to prepare and consume your dish. 

You can also prepare your Keto Spinach Sauce in advance and freeze that in a Mason Jar separate from the Gnocchi.

  • 3 Cups (100g) Fresh Spinach
  • 5 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup (100g) Sour Cream
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Turmeric - optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare your Gnocchi by mixing all of the Ingredients and shaping into your desired type as per our Keto Gnocchi Post.
  2. Prepare all of the ingredients.

I have not tried it but have heard som use it. I tried Xanthan Gum and it was sticking too much. Do let me know if you do try it and how it was.
