Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Egg White

Instructions

  • Prepare all of your ingredients. Egg whites should be at room temperature to get the best-whipped texture you can.
  • Start with whisking your egg whites. Make sure your egg white is whisked fully until you get a stiff peak.
  • Add your whisk egg whites into the shredded cheese.
  • Gently start folding your egg whites into the shredded cheese using a fork or a spoon.
  • In this step, we start shaping the cheese balls. Make sure you shape your fried cheese balls small as they double in size while frying.
  • Heat your vegetable oil, and once hot, gently place cheese balls one by one into the frying pot.
  • Once you see your fried cheeseballs have got a beautiful shape and a golden brown color, using your fork, gently remove them from oil and place them on the kitchen paper towel to get rid of that extra oil.

Notes

  • Egg Whites - whisked egg whites give you more of a fluffy structure of fried balls from inside, while not whisked egg whites get you more liquid consistency.
  • Type of Cheese - you can use any hard cheese you desire for this recipe
  • Refrigerate - the mixture for 45 minutes for better shaping and frying
  • Shape - shape your balls small. Remember, while frying, they double in size.
