  • 2 Cups Cranberries
  • 2 Cups Water
  • Sweetener optional

Instructions

  • The first thing to do is prepare your ingredients. Get your cranberries and water ready for blending.
  • Add your cranberries into the blender, followed by 2 cups of water. The amount of water you put in depends on how strong you want your juice to be. Close the lid and blend the cranberries.
  • It is essential to check if your cranberries are blended well. If you see some bubbles on top of the mixture, let the juice sit for a few minutes, and the foam will settle.
  • Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth if you have it. Press the cranberries to extract all the liquid to maximize flavor and juice.
  • To add some extra beauty, serve your homemade cranberry juice, as you see on cocktails in fancy restaurants. Moist the rim of the glass with lemon and dip it into a fruit powder of your choice, or best if you have cranberry powder at home.

Notes

  • Ratio - a typical ratio is 1 cup of cranberries to 1 cup of water. Adjust the ratio for a more concentrated or milder flavor based on your taste preferences. Some add orange juice or apple juice, but I always prefer pure. 
  • Citrus - you can enhance the flavor of your juice by adding a zest of fresh orange or lemon juice. The citrusy taste pairs with the tartness of the cranberries.
  • Cheesecloth - In straining the juice, it is perfect to use a cheesecloth since it removes pulp and solids, leaving you with a smoother juice.
