Instructions

  • Prepare your only one ingredient, and that is cheddar cheese. If you pick slices, which are the easiest to cut out, you have no worries. If you want to use a block of cheese, try to slice it with your bread slicer or a meat slicer.
  • Using a fish-shaped cookie cutter, start gently cutting fish shapes out of your cheese. One by one, place the fish-shaped cheese onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  • Once all of your cheese is placed onto a baking sheet, cover it with a kitchen paper towel and put it into your kitchen pantry for 3-4 days until your cheese fully dries.
  • Once your goldfish cheese pieces are fully dry, heat your oven to 200 Celsius or 390 Fahrenheit. Place in the oven for 3-4 minutes and enjoy.

Notes

  • Shape - to make it easier, you can simply cut your cheese into small squares
  • Cookie-cutter - try to get the simplest looking fish cutter as the corners might break
  • Length of drying cheese - depends on the type of cheddar cheese you use and the thickness and the size of fish shapes.
