Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Cranberries
  • 2 Cups Water

Instructions

  • The first thing you need to do is prepare your cranberries by washing them thoroughly and getting them ready for blending.
  • Add the cranberries and water to the blender or food processor and blend until smooth. To taste, you can add citrus to your favorite fruit, lemon juice, or sweetener.
  • Prepare your dehydrator for making the fruit leather. Spread the cranberry pulps or your fruit puree onto the baking sheet and ensure they are evenly spread to get an equal thickness when you cut them later. Once they are assembled and ready, dehydrate them for approximately eight hours.
  • After dehydrating your cranberry pulps, allow it to dry for several hours until the fruit leather is set and no longer sticky. Peel off the fruit leather from the parchment paper and roll them up. Cut into bite-sized pieces, and your cranberry fruit leather is ready.
  • If you plan to make a massive batch of cranberry fruit leather, another way of cutting and serving them is to spread them all out on a baking sheet or wax paper and put another sheet on top. You can use a ruler or anything to help you cut the fruit leather to your desired width. After cutting, roll them up without removing the baking sheet so you can still consume them later.

Notes

  • Parchment paper - if you are concerned about sticking, lightly grease the paper before spreading the cranberry mixture. NEVER use wax paper in the dehydrator or oven.
  • Test - you can check your fruit leather by touching the surface. It should be tacky but not sticky.
  • Spatula - use a spatula to smooth the mixture evenly for a consistent rollup.
