STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE FRUIT LEATHER IN A DEHYDRATOR
First Step: Prepare Your Cranberries
The first thing you need to do is prepare your cranberries by washing them thoroughly and getting them ready for blending.
Second Step: Juice The Cranberries
Add the cranberries and water to the blender or food processor and blend until smooth. To taste, you can add citrus to your favorite fruit, lemon juice, or sweetener.
After blending, strain the cranberries using a fine mesh sieve, separating the pulps from the juice. Enjoy the cranberry juice, which is best for morning boost shots.
Third Step: Prepare To Spread Cranberry Pulps
Prepare your dehydrator for making the fruit leather. You can use any dehydrator, but if you plan to use the round one, you would need a plastic insert silicone that goes inside the dehydrator trays and layers.
You can use parchment paper or a baking sheet if you do not have it. Cut them into the shape of the dehydrator trays to fit.
Spread the cranberry pulps or your fruit puree onto the baking sheet and ensure they are evenly spread to get an equal thickness when you cut them later.
Once they are assembled and ready, dehydrate them for approximately eight hours.
Fourth Step: Roll And Cut
After dehydrating your cranberry pulps, allow it to dry for several hours until the fruit leather is set and no longer sticky.
Peel off the fruit leather from the parchment paper and roll them up. Cut into bite-sized pieces, and your cranberry fruit leather is ready.
Fifth Step: Cut And Save For Later
If you plan to make a massive batch of cranberry fruit leather, another way of cutting and serving them is to spread them all out on a baking sheet or wax paper and put another sheet on top.
You can use a ruler or anything to help you cut the fruit leather to your desired width. After cutting, roll them up without removing the baking sheet so you can still consume them later.

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR MAKING HEALTHY HOMEMADE FRUIT ROLL UPS:
- Parchment paper – if you are concerned about sticking, lightly grease the paper before spreading the cranberry mixture. NEVER use wax paper in the dehydrator or oven.
- Test – you can check your fruit leather by touching the surface. It should be tacky but not sticky.
- Spatula – use a spatula to smooth the mixture evenly for a consistent rollup.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What To Serve With Cranberry Fruit Leather?
You can layer thin strips of cranberry fruit leather with yogurt and granola for a fruity parfait or surprise your guests and family by adding rolled-up cranberry fruit leather and a touch of sweetness to your cheese platter, including cheese chips with olives, cheese bacon chips, cheese popcorn, fried cheeseballs, and cheese puffs.
Remember to boost your smoothie by chopping the fruit leather into small pieces and tossing them in for an extra flavor.

Yes, fresh or frozen fruits can make this delicious treat. Just ensure your fruits are fully thawed before blending them for a puree.
Can I Make Fruit Leather Using Strawberries?
Yes, of course, since fruit leathers are most commonly associated with fruity tastes like strawberry, raspberry, and mixed fruits. As strawberries are one of the most common fruits we use, I have a separate fruit roll-up recipe for you, where I have used various berries.
You can use any fruits for those not following low carb. The most popular are peach, apricot or plum.
Can I Make Fruit Leather In The Oven?
While the dehydrator is the perfect choice to make fruit leather, you can also do it in the oven if you do not have a dehydrator.
It is almost the same process as doing it in the oven, but you have to remember that it may make your fruit leather too dry if you do not set it up at the right temperature.
Cooking the fruit leather in the oven requires the lowest setting, typically around 140°F (60°C), or the lowest temperature your oven can go. Remember to preheat your oven before anything else.
How Do I Store Frozen Fruit Leather?
Once fully dehydrated, they can stay on your kitchen counter or inside a glass jar or airtight container in your pantry.
The best option for long-term storage is freezing them. You can place each piece of fruit leather between sheets of parchment paper or wrap them individually in plastic wrap. This helps prevent the pieces from sticking together during freezing.
Allow the fruit leather to cool completely at room temperature before attempting to freeze it.
