  • 2 Cups Shredded Chicken cooked
  • Cup Buffalo Wing Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Melted Butter optional, for milder flavor
  • 8 Pieces Large Lettuce Leaves romaine or butter
  • ½ Cup Celery diced
  • ¼ Cup Blue Cheese or Ranch Dressing

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the lettuce leaves, then chop the celery for topping.
  • Combine shredded chicken with buffalo sauce and a little melted butter if using.
  • Spoon the chicken mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
  • Top with celery and ranch or blue cheese dressing, then fold and serve fresh.

Notes

  • Butter in the buffalo sauce is optional but it rounds out the sharp edge of the sauce and helps it cling to the chicken rather than pool at the bottom of the wrap.
  • Blue cheese dressing handles the heat better than ranch does, adding sharpness that pushes the flavor forward rather than just cooling it down.
  • Butter lettuce folds cleanly and holds its shape best. Romaine is sturdier but less flexible, and iceberg tears too easily once you start folding.
  • The filling works cold straight from the fridge the next day. The sauce thickens slightly overnight which actually makes it easier to keep inside the wrap.
