Ingredients

Instructions

  • First of all, prepare all of the ingredients. You can make our brioche toast bread a few days in advance as a bit older bread soaks much better. Regarding the brown sugar substitute, you can either use any of the store-bought or make your own with our recipe.
  • Whisk your eggs in a mixing bowl or a soup plate as I have used. Add heavy cream cinnamon as well as a brown sugar substitute. Whisk all together and start preparing for soaking.
  • Place one toast inside the mixture and let it soak for half a second. I usually turn the toast a few times inside the mixture to ensure the bread is thoroughly soaked in.
  • Heat your pan and put butter or olive oil of your choice for frying. Make sure it is fully heated for the french toast to start frying immediately.
  • Place your toast onto the frying pan and start frying it on a medium heat using a fork. At the same time, place the second toast into the mixture and let it soak. Turn it a few times and put it on the frying pan.
  • Let your toast fry on a pan for about a minute or two, then turn onto the other side. Some people like to have lightly fried French toast, and some want to keep it longer. It all depends on your preference. Place onto your breakfast plate and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Soaking the toast - It is best to let your toast soak in the mixture for a minute or so.
  • Butter - can be replaced with oil of your choice.
  • French Toast sticks - cut toast into slices and then soak.
