Instructions

  • Heat your oven to 200 Celsius or 390 Fahrenheit. Prepare your sausage, sour cream, almond flour and cheese of your choice.
  • As you see in the image, I have used our homemade sausage. Place all of the sausages into a big bowl where you will be mixing our cheesy sausage balls.
  • Once your sausage is in the bowl you can start adding all of the other ingredients which is almond flour shredded cheese as well as sour cream. Mix all together, making sure everything is well combined.
  • To make the sausages exactly the same in size, it is easiest to use either a spoon or if you have an ice cream scoop. Using a scoop take the amount from the mixture, and using your hands, roll nicely into a bowl.
  • Layer all sausage balls onto the cast iron and bake at 200 Celsius or 390 Fahrenheit for approximately 25 minutes.

Notes

  • Spiciness - Add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Almond flour replacement - coconut flour, but only use 1/4th of it
  • Sour cream can be substituted with cream cheese
  • Breadcrumbs - you can additionally roll them in a breadcrumbs if you wish
