Chocolates I cannot throw. Avoid them? No way. There is no life without it as some might say. Don’t worry, you definitely do not have to avoid them or get rid of them entirely from your low carb lifestyle. As long as you exchange them for healthier options.
Most of the chocolates I buy nowadays are from Living Low Carb from Germany.
Possibilities are endless those days. There are so many companies producing healthier versions sweetened with either stevia or sugar alcohol. You just have to pick the right one. Before I do purchase anything, I always read labels, how much carbohydrates it contains and especially what sweeteners do they use. You might be surprised, but some of the “claimed” low carb products contain much more sugar than the normal chocolates we see on the shelves in regular supermarkets.
Those are the ones I buy here. But for example, a US brand “Lilly’s chocolates” is a great alternative as well. It is just difficult to purchase it if you do not live in States.
I sometimes buy them through Vitacost website. They have at the moment pretty good postal services especially when the price is in concern.
