STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS RECIPE
First Step: Prepare Ingredients
Prepare all ingredients. Clean cabbage and onion. Cut out the center thick part of the cabbage head. Regarding the filling, I have used our mini burger mixture, which is a combination of ground meat and veggies to give you more volume.
At the same time, heat the oven to 180 Celsius or 350 Fahrenheit.
Second Step: Soften Cabbage
Cook cabbage leaves by submerging the whole cabbage into the pot of boiling water for a few minutes and removing softened leaves one by one. I usually cook for 4-5 minutes before taking out the leaves. Last, dip the green ends of the spring onion and cook for a few seconds. Cut the ends.
Third Step: Make Rolls
Take one cabbage leaf and place some ground beef mixture on it. Roll the cabbage as seen in the video, and secure it by tying one spring onion string. Place the cabbage rolls seam side down one by one onto a baking dish. You can pour some tomato sauce in the bottom of the baking dish.
Fourth Step: Pour Sauce
Pour the remaining sauce over the cabbage rolls in a baking dish.
Fifth Step: Bake
Bake the cabbage rolls for 60 to 90 minutes or until fully cooked and tender. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped spring onion on top of cabbage rolls.
