Ground beef is a perfect ingredient to make any possible recipe you can imagine.
I always add in our Stuffed Peppers with Low-Carb Rice, make Mini Veggie Burgers for our kids.
If I have time I add and make a Keto Meatloaf, Pumpkin Meatballs, once the pumpkin season comes in.
Or I just add whatever we have and make Bolognese Sauce go with one of our Keto Noodles or Pasta variations.

Bunless Bacon Keto Burger
But there can not be a grilling season without a proper Burger.
Real soft and juicy grilling beautiful burger. And that is exactly what I am about to introduce you to today.
Perfectly formed Bunless Burger, juiced from bacon, sweetened with onions, and flavored with summer herbs.
A burger, that can be made either on the Outdoor Grill in the summer, Kitchen Grill in the winter, or just a plain stove top or oven. It works perfectly everywhere.
Top it up with our Fermented Dill Pickles and a bit of Simple Keto Basil Pesto, Green Goddess Dressing, Wild Garlic Pesto , Green Goddess Salad, Broccoli Salad or Creamy Salsa Dressing and you have it. The perfect Keto Fast Food one can only dream of.

I wanted to answer this question because there are still quite a few people asking if there is a hamburger which they can eat on the keto or low-carb lifestyle.
For some people, it is natural that every burger is keto because most of the hamburgers or burgers, in general, contain minced meat only.
But
There are so many products which you can buy in the supermarket that contain flour and various other ingredients you would not even think of. If you make a homemade burger, and you know exactly what you put in then you can make sure that it is Keto or low-carb.
But if you’re buying a burger in the shop, you always have to read the labels. Do not trust any advertising or words written about how healthy that is.
So to answer the question if a burger without a bun is a keto I can say if it is homemade and if it is from our website then yes it is fully Keto and fully Low carb.
The definition of a Bunless burger is a burger without the bun.
As we all know, all the fast-food restaurants serving burgers offer various bread buns where the burger is placed into the middle and layered with extras like bacon, cheese, and whatsoever.
But the bun is always there. It has always been like this in fast-food restaurants until the last few years,
Nowadays, you will find so many fast-food chains offering Keto burgers or burgers without a bun.
They normally replace the bun with salad leaves and wrap it in the plastic paper.
But there are so many variations you can use if you would like to make a perfect bunless burger.
You can decorate those patties with whatever you wish to, like cheese, veggies, bacon tomatoes, onion, and you can wrap it in salad leaves or any of the vegetable leaves.
You can also use the burgers or Patties as the buns. Use two Burgers and in the middle, you can layer them with cheese, veggies, tomatoes, pickles, bacon, and whatever you wish and desire.
As you have probably realized, most of my recipes are not spicy at all.
The reason for this is that all the recipes I’m making are made especially for my daughter who has Type One Diabetes, and thanks to the diabetes Low-Carb approach has been introduced to us.
But if you would love to spice up those burgers, you can certainly add some Jalapeño or Cayenne Peppers or a few drops or spoons of Tabasco.
Even though this recipe is called a Bunless Keto Bacon Burger, you can always add some extra layers to make a full burger like dish.
You can use avocado as the buns replacement and enjoy it for breakfast as Avocado Burger.
As I already mentioned you can use any of the vegetable leaves to cover the burgers and make it a bunless burger.
You can use Portobello Mushrooms which you have grilled in advance and have a perfect Portobello Mushroom Keto Burger.
You can cut big tomatoes into half and use them as well instead of a bun.
Not only that, but you can slice up some pumpkins, grill them, and use them as buns for the keto burger dish.

If you would like to bake those Bunless Bacon Keto Burgers in the oven, I would suggest heating up the oven to 350 Fahrenheit and baking them for approximately 20 minutes, turning them once in the middle of the time.

How to make Bunless Bacon Keto Burger

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION OF THE BEST BUNLESS BACON KETO BURGER
First Step: Prepare Ingredients
First, prepare all the ingredients together for an easy assemble.
Place minced meat into a bigger ball, where you can mix everything else later on.

Second Step: Caramelize Onion
Take a baking pan and caramelize the onion cut into small squares as the first step. Caramelizing the onion helps the burgers hold together as well as adding a bit of sweetness into them.

Third Step: Add Bacon and Garlic
Once the onion is caramelized halfway, add bacon cut into small pieces, as well as freshly cut garlic.

Fourth Step: Cook
Place all on the stove once again and make sure all the three ingredients are fully cooked.
Once all onions, bacon, and garlic are fully cooked, let them cool for a bit and add into a big bowl where you have already placed your ground beef.

Fifth Step: Add Spices
Add all the spices from the recipes such as Marjoram, Oregano, Curcuma, salt, and pepper.
You can as well add some fresh herbs if you have those in your garden or any additional herbs you like to use.

Sixth Step: Mix
Using a wooden spatula, fully mix the ground beef together with bacon, onions, garlic, and all the herbs.

Seventh Step: Shape
Once everything is fully mixed, use your hands to shape burgers.

Eight Step: Grill
Depending on where you’re planning to grill, heat up the grill or oven and place the burgers for grilling.
Grill for approximately 10 minutes and turn the sites.
Grill for another 10 minutes and you are done.

Ninth Step: Decorate
Once all the burgers are grilled, it is time for you to decorate.
Use whatever vegetables you would like to add, some salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, cheese, basil pesto as I have used in our case, and whatever additional you desire.

How do you store Bunless Bacon Keto Burgers?
Even though those Bunless Bacon Keto Burgers are best to eat straight after they have been grilled, you can store them for later as well.
If you have already grilled them, it is best to place them into an airtight container and straight into your fridge where they should stay for approximately 2 to 3 days, no longer.
If you would like to keep them and use them later on, then they should definitely go directly into the freezer.
And just in case you do not want to make separate Burgers, a great similar idea is to make it into a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole.

Can you freeze Keto Burgers?
You can certainly freeze our Keto burgers or any other burgers, but I would always suggest freezing the raw mixture.
As the burgers taste the best when they’re freshly grilled, it is much better to thaw the mixture once you’re ready to grill on the day you need it.
But just in case you have grilled already all the burgers and would like to store, that is also an option.
Cover each of the burgers into parchment paper and place it all into a Ziploc bag and directly into the freezer for easy maneuvers.

- 1 (150 grams) Onion
- 6 clove, Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Curcuma powder (Turmeric)
- 1 teaspoon dried Marjoram
- 1 teaspoon dried Oregano
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Prepare all of the ingredients together for an easy assemble.
