STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE CHAFFLES BREAKFAST RECIPE
First Step: Prepare Ingredients
Prepare all of your ingredients.
Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. I have great tips on softening cream cheese quickly if you need to.
Use any of the sweeteners you have at home for a sugar substitute. All you need is to add some sweetness to those sweet chaffles.
Second Step: Mix Eggs, Cinnamon and Sweetener
Add an egg, cinnamon and your sugar sweetener into the bowl.
Using your hand mixer, beat until light and fluffy.
Third Step: Add and Mix the Rest of the Ingredients
Once you mix egg, cinnamon and sugar, add 2 tablespoons of almond flour and the other ingredients and mix once again.
Fourth Step: Vanilla Extract
Adding vanilla extract will enhance the flavor of your chaffles.
After I have made my own homemade instant pot vanilla extract, I use it much more often than I did before and wonder why I didn’t do that a long time ago.
Add a few drops of vanilla extract into the mixture and ensure everything is fully incorporated.
Fifth Step: Heat Up And Spray Waffle Iron
Once you prepare the mixture, you can switch on your Dash Mini Maker.
Ensure it heats up thoroughly, and you can start making keto chaffles.
With our recipe, you should be able to make six sweet chafles.
Sixth Step: Pour Batter
Spray your dash mini maker with extra virgin olive oil, and add a scoop of the chaffle batter into the waffle maker. Close the lid and wait until the green light switches off – ready and heated.
Once the green light switches off and you see the steam reduce, it is a sign your chaffle is ready.
Continue after all of your chaffles are done.
Seventh Step: Enjoy
Serve it as you would typically enjoy waffles.
Pour sugar-free liquid honey or maple syrup.
Use them for our keto chaffle s’mores.
TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BASIC CHAFFLE RECIPE
- Protein powder – omit if you want a softer version of chaffles.
- Oil spray – make sure you spray your dash mini maker after every chaffle to avoid sticking.
- Scooping – it is best to find the right size scoop using a dash maker. I love to use ice cream scoops, which I have in various sizes, as this will ensure I scoop up the exact amount and do not have to worry about the mixture running out of the grills.
- Baking powder – incase you run out, there are some great ideas as a baking powder substitute.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What Do I Serve Keto Waffle Chaffle With?
A great idea is to make your sauces and learn how to make sugar-free maple syrup or sugar-free chocolate syrup, lemon curd, or condensed milk in your kitchen. Those sugar-free syrups go perfectly with our keto pancakes as well.
Of course, if you are going for a proper breakfast and waffles, our sugar-free apricot jam and strawberry jam must be a part of that.
What Does Protein Powder Do in Keto Recipes?
Using a protein powder in keto recipes is perfect, especially if you need to add more protein to your daily lifestyle.
The second reason is that protein powder makes any baked goods or recipe you are doing more crunchy.
Protein powder keeps that crunchiness you miss in many keto or low carb recipes.
I usually use most of the time unflavored protein powder with the best quality.
Some recipes, including protein powder, are our sweet keto challah bread recipe, fiber bread rolls, or low carb yogurt buns.
How Do I Store Those Easy Keto Chaffles?
Once you make our sweet cinnamon chaffle, it is best to enjoy them fresh, but you can also double the recipe and store them for a while.
They are freshly made with fresh ingredients and will not last forever.
Store them for 2-3 days, better in the refrigerator as on a kitchen counter.
If longer, store them in the freezer.
You can freeze chaffles as you usually freeze most of your waffles or desserts.
The best is to separate sweet chaffles into single-serve portions for easier manipulation.
All you would need is to take the single portion the night before, and once the morning comes, your chaffles are ready to enjoy. Reheat in a toaster oven for extra freshness.
