Best Sugar-Free Syrup
Perfectly Healthy Chocolate Syrup can be poured over your morning Crepes, Pancakes, French Toast, Pound cake or Waffles and drizzled over our Hot Chocolate Mix, Mug Cake, Brownies, or a Peanut Butter Fudge.
You can use this Easy Chocolate Syrup as a simple chocolate dip for your Berries, Marble Cake, Peanut Butter Cookies, or any Keto Cookies you desire.
This Keto Syrup, which is a part of our homemade keto sweeteners has so many options you can use it for that it would take me a whole book to write.
It is simply a must Keto Syrup to have in your pantry at all times.
Easy Chocolate Syrup
Super easy to make, all you need is the Best Cocoa you can find, the sweetener of your choice, and that is it. Water does not count into ingredients, and Vanilla Extract is an option. So here you go.
2 Ingredients only for the best Dairy-Free and Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup made from scratch in just a few minutes of your time.
Hershey’s Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup
When we started with a low-carb lifestyle, I had no idea you could make things like this at home. Most of the Sugar-Free stuff I was buying was for my daughter to prevent her blood sugar spikes. I was not paying attention to the ingredients.
The important thing was that it does not have natural sugar in it, has no carbs, and does not spike blood sugar. And you have no idea how excited I was when I bought our first bottle of Hersey’s Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup in Dubai on our holidays as we do not live in the United States.
After trying it, we went to the shop the next day and bought a few more bottles to last us a while. That’s how excited I was. I even remember taking photos of those bottles on the beach.
And I must admit, our homemade chocolate syrup tastes precisely the same, if not better.
Made with only the healthy ingredients and done in a few minutes.
Who would have thought?
Keto Starbucks Coffee
Do you know that by now, with our collection of Keto Syrup sweeteners, you can have a real Starbucks Coffee Station in your own home?
Little Starbucks Bar where you can make your own Dairy Free Low Carb Starbucks Drink in your kitchen?
With your own Starbucks Sugar-Free Syrup.
How does that sound?
I have a suggestion.
Best Starbucks Copycat Keto Coffee
Let us do step by step instructions in our homemade coffee in a coffee shop:
- Make a coffee, preferably our Cold Brew
- Take a coffee cup and drizzle our Chocolate Syrup on the sides of the glass
- Use Brown Sugar made in a few minutes as a base.
- Pour your Coffee.
- One scoop of Coconut Ice Cream
- Add a bit of Simple Syrup for extra sweetness
- Top it up with Whipped Cream
- Top it up with mini Marshmallows
- Few pieces of White Chocolate Chips together with Dark Chocolate Chips
- Sprinkle our Sprinkles
- Drizzle Caramel Sauce together with Condensed Milk
I should stop right here. The idea might be the best drink of the century and all sugar-free, homemade, and done in the comfort of your home.
I might make this drink as a recipe for you. Should I go for it? What do you think?
Ice Cream Keto Sauce
This Sugar-Free Keto Sauce is a perfect addition once you are ready to serve one of the Frozen Treats.
Although I suggest pouring this beauty over the Ice Cream, I also have a great Magic Shell Recipe that will immediately harden and make a beautiful thin hard shell on top.
So whatever you prefer, hard chocolate or soft chocolate over your ice, you can decide to choose one or the other.
Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup Nutrition
Here comes the best part.
Our Best tasting Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup has got 2 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, and only 16 grams of calories for the whole recipe.
The whole thing.
The entire recipe. That is a wholesome one and half cup of sugar-free chocolate delight you are going to use forever from now on.
What is the difference between Chocolate Syrup and Chocolate Sauce?
The main difference between Chocolate Syrup and Chocolate Sauce is that Sauce is thicker than a more pourable Chocolate Syrup.
The good thing is, with our recipe, you can have both.
Too thick?
Add water.
Too thin?
Cook more, so extra water evaporates.
There you go.
One post – two recipes.
Does Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup have Carbs?
And here we come to the best announcement. It is not even worth calculating because of so many zeros in the nutritional table.
Let me explain.
From our recipe, you get approximately one and a half cups of sugar-free chocolate syrup.
I have divided this into six portions, each quarter of a cup.
One portion, which is ¼ of a cup, has three calories, and the rest is 0.
Zero carbohydrates, zero fat, zero protein.
Can you imagine?
What is Chocolate Syrup made of?
Our Chocolate syrup is the most straightforward recipe you can ever imagine.
It contains only water, your preferred sweetener, and cocoa powder.
That is it.
And a dash of vanilla extract if you prefer to go a tiny bit further.
What Sweeteners are best to use for Chocolate Syrup?
The best sweetener for this recipe is Allulose.
Suppose you do not have it in your kitchen, no worries. Some other options will work as well.
- Allulose Sweetener is the best as it adds an extra creamy texture.
- Xylitol, which contains a small number of carbohydrates
- Monk Fruit Sweetener comes in handy as a great alternative and even better if you can get Monk Fruit blend with Allulose. A mixture of monk fruit and allulose adds extra gooeyness to the syrups.
- Erythritol is the last and least favorite choice for making your own homemade Keto Syrups, but it is also an option.
Erythritol is not a preferred sweetener in making liquid sweeteners because it recrystallizes once cooled. If it recrystallizes, a simple reheating on low heat will solve it. You can reduce crystallization slightly by using Powdered Erythritol and distilled water.
Chocolate Syrup Flavors
As our recipe is a basic one, you can experience various flavors by either adding extracts, milk, or alcohol into the mixture, mainly at the end of the process.
Few choices are
- Peppermint Chocolate Sauce – add a few drops of peppermint extract
- Christmas Chocolate Syrup – add gingerbread spices or extract
- Cinnamon Sauce – one teaspoon of cinnamon added into the mixture works a great deal
- Sweet and Spicy Syrup – add a dash of Tabasco or Cayenne
- Coffee Syrup – add a shot of piccolo in
- Baileys Syrup – mix heavy cream, Irish whiskey, and condensed milk into our syrup.
- Caramel Chocolate Sauce – 3 tablespoons of our Caramel Sauce added in gives you that perfect flavor.
- Chocolate Milk – simply adding chocolate syrup into a Coconut Milk or Almond Milk
Of course, there are many more ideas, but I guess for the start of building your own Starbucks Bar, those should be sufficient.

As already mentioned, this Best Sugar-Free Syrup goes a long way and is a perfect addition to so many recipes.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR KETO CHOCOLATE SYRUP MAKING
First Step: Prepare Ingredients for Chocolate Syrup
Super simple to prepare, get your water, cocoa powder, and sweetener on the kitchen counter.
For the best sweeteners, scroll a bit up, where I have explained the best choices.
You can use Vanilla extract optional if needed.
Second Step: Water and Sweetener
Into your cooking pot, pour water and sweetener. Whisk together.
Third Step: Melt and cook
Switch the heat on a medium-low and start the cooking process.
Fourth step: Cocoa Powder
Add your cocoa powder and whisk all together for the cocoa to incorporate into the simple syrup.
Fifth Step: Cook
As the sweeteners melt and water starts to bubble, you will realize that some of the water will evaporate.
Depending on how thick or thin you want your keto syrup to be, cook for approximately 10 to 15, maybe even 20 minutes.
It is advisable to cook it longer on medium heat than shorter on high heat to prevent low carb syrup caramelizing and burning.
You will also notice the thickening process once the mixture reduces in volume. Bear in mind that this healthy chocolate sauce will still thicken as it cools.
Sixth Step: Vanilla Extract
When you are happy with your syrup, switch the heat off.
Now is the time to add either Vanilla Extract or any of the additional flavors mentioned above.
Tips and tricks
- Crystalize – you might experience using some sweeteners that your syrup might crystallize after cooling. Simple reheating it on low heat should eliminate all the crystals and smooth the syrup to perfection.
- Too thick – If you find your syrup too thick, add water and mix
- Too thin – let the mixture cook a bit longer for more water to evaporate.
- Missing cocoa – if you do not have cocoa at home, melt sugar-free chocolate chips or chocolate bar.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Once your chocolate syrup cools down, and you see that it does not thicken as you would like, cook it on low heat a bit longer for more water to evaporate.
If your syrup is too thick, you can dilute it by mixing thoroughly with extra water.
Using our preferred sweeteners such as Allulose Sweetener or Xylitol will not crystalize your Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup once cold.
Using a powdered version of your sweetener and replacing normal water with distilled water helps against crystallization, especially when using Erythritol.
How to store Homemade Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup?
Our Chocolate syrup might not last for years, as the store-bought syrup will, but adequately stored can still be available after a few months.
You can store it in a Glass Container with a lid on a kitchen counter for up to a week or fridge for two to three months.
