Simple to make, those Easy Flaxseed Keto Wraps Recipe needs only one main ingredient to transform your wish of a Keto or Low Carb Flatbread to Vegan, Grain-free, Gluten-free and Diabetes-friendly option for your meals.

Fill them up with our favourite Keto Avocado Egg Salad or have them as a side with our Lecso Stew.
A perfect combination to add is the complimenting color of our Oven Roasted Beets Spread Recipe.
The idea of those lovely Keto wraps came to me while reading one of the German Low-Carb magazine article about importance of a flaxseed in your diet.

They have mentioned, mixing flaxseeds with boiling water to form a dough which could be used for different Keto dishes. One of them was a Keto Flat Bread or a wrap. Another was to make crackers with it, which I will make probably some other time.
Flaxseeds other use:
Did you know, that fiber from Flax, which is also known as Linseed is used for making Linen?
We do learn something new every single day.
Flax Fibers taken from the stems of a plant are apparently 3x stronger as cotton is and therefore have been used for centuries to make clothing.
Is Flaxseed Low Carb?
Flaxseeds are fully low carb and even keto, since all of the carbohydrates they contain, is fiber. They are perfect for our digestion and sometimes advisable to eat if you have problems with regular stool.
Another perfect Recipe you would love are those Raw Seed Keto Crackers Bread, which can be stored for a very long time.
How do you eat Flaxseeds?
Flaxseeds can be consumed either raw or grounded. We like to add them on top of our crackers when used as whole, or just sprinkle on yogurt for a morning breakfast.
As grounded, they are perfect for thickening our dishes, since they do absorbs a lot of water.
They are also used in some of the recipes as a replacement for Eggs.

Some say, to get the most nutritions out of the Flaxseeds is only by consuming them grounded.
We like to grind them at home either in a Magic Bullet of Coffee Grinder and then keeping them in a Mason Jar in the Fridge for up-to a week. We only grind the amount we can consume within a few das to have them always fresh and ready.
What are nutritions of Flaxseed Keto Wraps?
Since this recipe is made entirely out of Flaxseeds only (adding garlic and salt only for a taste), the nutritions are purely as if you would eat spoons of your own flaxseeds.
They are rich in Omega 3 acids and Vitamin B. Containing Magnesium, Calcium and Iron just adds into wanting them to be consumed on a daily basis.
Although they do contains some carbohydrates, majority of it is Fiber, which makes them fully Low Carb and Keto and are a big part of our lifestyle.

How to make Keto Flaxseed Wraps?
First Step: Grind the Flaxseeds
Place whole Golden seeds into the Magic Buller or Coffee Grinder and grind all of the seeds until you get a perfect grounded flour like consistency.
If you already have grounded flaxseeds or have bought Flaxseed flour, you can skip this step.

Second Step: Add Spices
Place the grounded Flaxseeds into a bowl big enough to be able to mix it in.
Add garlic and salt – that is in the case of our recipe. You can add also the herbs you like or think, would be a perfect addition. You can entirely skip this step and only use Flaxseeds.

Third Step: Boiling water
Add boiling water into the bowl. The water needs to be boiling, otherwise, you will not get the smooth consistency and the dough would become clumpy. Do not even try the lukewarm water – same results. It really needs to be boiling hot water.

Fourth Step: Mix
Properly mix the dough until you achieve a beautiful consistency to be able to work easily with it.

Fifth step: Split the dough
With a knife or spatula, separate the dough into 6-8 pieces. it all depends on how thin and big you are able to make your Flaxseed Keto Wraps.

Sixth Step: Roll
Either on a Parchment paper or nonstick silicone mat, start rolling the dough into a thin rounded shape. Try to roll it as thin as possible, but not entirely thin, otherwise, you will not be able to lift the wrap from the silicone mat.

Seventh Step: Shape the Keto Wraps
Cut a parchment paper into smaller squares. You will need this for placing the wraps on it for easier handling.
With a round bowl or a plate, press onto the rolled wrap to get ever and precise shape.

Eighth Step: Lift and roll
Using a long knife or spatula, slowly get the wraps onto already precut Parchment Paper. Please see the video for better instruction.
Keep rolling and making wraps until you get the entire dough rolled. I was able to make 8 medium size wraps from this amount.
Make sure, each of the wrap is placed on a separate parchment paper, otherwise they will stick to each other.

Ninth Step: Prepare to cook
Preheat the pan on a medium high.
Once you have all of the Flaxseed Keto Wraps ready, start with roasting them on a pan. You can use

Tenth Step: Cook the Flaxseed Keto Wraps
As seen in the video, cook each side of the Wrap for about a minute, pressing gently from time to time. Once you see, they are done, place them on a plate and serve. They are still a bit soft in the middle, but tasty fully.

I do hope those full instruction would help you better understant on how to make them.
It does
Bakers Tips for Flaxseed Keto Wraps:
Sticky Dough?
If you still find the dough very sticky, just add bit more grounded Flaxseeds and mix again. You can also wet your hand for easier handling.
Shaping bowl keeps getting sticky.
Water the rims of a plate or a bowl you are using to shape the Keto Wraps.

Different type of Flaxseeds?
If you do not have Light or golden Flaxseeds, you can replace them with the dark or brown ones. They are exactly same. Only the color of your wraps would be a bit darker.
If you only have a flaxseed flour, you can skip step one and continue. Just make sure the flour is not un-fattened, otherwise it will be very dry and they would need much more water to get the same consistency.
Can not lift the Wrap after rolling it?
If it is difficult for you to lift already rolled wrap, either start again or make it a bit thicker. Also you can try rolling in straight on a parchment paper, which you will then just lift.

Frequently asked questions and answers.
What type of flaxseeds to use for Keto Wraps?
In this recipe I have used whole light or golden Flax seeds.
But feel free to experiment with either dark seeds or already made flour or grounded Flaxseeds. Just skip those steps in the instructions and enjoy.
How Long do homemade Wraps last?
As those Keto Wraps are purely made of Flaxseeds and water, there is nothing else, which would save them from lasting

Can you eat Wraps on Keto?
Normal Wraps, Tortillas or Flatbread should not be consumed in our lifestyle. But with those recipes, which only contains ingredients allowed in Keto and Low Carb, they are a perfect addition to our diet.
You can use them for all of the yummy dishes as a wrap or a side dish. This Venison Chilli, could be just a perfect addition.
One additional recipe I have made is those perfectly shaped Keto Fiber Tortillas made out of our Famous Fathead Dough, just swapping a few of the ingredients.
Alternatively have a look at our Extra tasty Low-Carb Taco Shells made with Almond Flour.
Can you freeze Keto Wraps?
If you would still make more then you would be able to consume and do not want to consume them the next day, I would suggest freezing them.
Freeze only already made Keto Wraps, otherwise, you will have lots of water to deal with while unfreezing. Also, make sure you separate each Flatbread with a parchment paper for easier handling.

We LOVE your Flaxseed Keto Wraps! They are so quick and easy and uncomplicated. I have probably 3 dozen recipes for Paleo & Keto tortillas, wraps, flatbreads, naan, etc., and this one is about the best! I was amazed how it didn't taste "flaxy" and the texture is not gummy like flax can make breads be. Planning and making dinner with tortillas for tacos, burritos, or enchiladas, etc. has been a chore I didn't often do, but this recipe makes it much more do-able when I don't plan far ahead. Thank you!
