- Garlic

- Fresh Oregano
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE QUICK AND EASY HOMEMADE KTO MARINARA SAUCE
First Step: Prepare Ingredients for Marinara Sauce
Prepare all of your ingredients.
With regards to tomatoes, you can use either canned tomatoes or fresh whole peeled tomatoes.
Try to chop herbs as small as possible.
Second Step: Brown Onions
First, let us start browning onions. I have used Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but you can as well use Avocado oil if you wish, which gives an additional flavor to this Keto Tomato Sauce.
Third Step: Herbs & Garlic
Once the onions are browned, add freshly chopped herbs and Garlic.
Let it cook on medium heat for a minute or so, to get all of the flavors from basil, oregano as well as garlic out into the sauce.
Fourth Step: Add Canned Tomatoes
Once done, you can add canned tomatoes or fresh ones if you prefer.
Fifth Step: Salt & Pepper
As of last, a small teaspoon of salt and pepper and mix all together.
Sixth Step: Cover and Cook
Cover with the lid and cook on medium heat for approximately 30 minutes.
Tips and tricks
Tomatoes – you can use Fresh tomatoes instead of Canned if you wish. I would suggest blanching them and peel the skin if you would like to have that smooth consistency. How do I smooth the sauce fully?
As you see on the video and images, I have not blended the sauce, because that is how our family likes it.
But just in case you would like to smooth the whole sauce, you can easily do that with an Immersion blender or just place the whole sauce into your Big Blender and blend for a few minutes to get that perfectly smooth consistency.
How do you store Marinara Sauce?
To store Marinara sauce is extra easy same as BBQ sauce.
As this Low Carb Pasta Sauce is perfect for your Meal Preps, it is great to double the recipe and store it in smaller mason jars, which you can use as portions.
Alternatively, the big Mason Jar of this Sugar-Free Spaghetti Sauce can be perfectly stored for the whole family in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
Anything longer, I would suggest freezing.
Can you freeze Marinara Sauce?
You can certainly freeze Low Carb Marinara sauce and that is exactly what I do.
I fill few Mason Jars with it and have them ready whenever we are in a hurry or have no time in the evening to cook.
