Quick and Easy Keto Dessert

Be it Valentine’s, Mothers Day, or a Special Event, our Low Carb Chocolate Dipped Strawberries should always be on the top list as they are unbelievably quick to make and everyone loves them. I have till now not met a person, who would not like berries dipped in chocolate ganache.

Homemade Sugar-Free Chocolate

With our Homemade Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate Bar, White Chocolate Bar, and Chocolate Chips, you do not even have to go to the shop and search for the best Keto Chocolate or Chocolate Chips.

Make it at home and enjoy either with your morning Cold Brew Coffee or as a perfect Keto Ingredient that can not be missed for keto baking in your Pantry for various Desserts.

Chocolate Magic Shell

To make this recipe for you came to me, as I was preparing the perfect Chocolate Magic Shell, you can use mostly for your Ice Cream.

With a slight alteration, this recipe is perfect for dipping any berries or keto ingredients in.

And because this recipe is so extra quick and easy, but ultimately delicious, I have decided to share it with you.

All you need is a few minutes of your time and enjoy.

Calories in a Chocolate Covered Strawberry

Using one of our homemade sugar-free chocolates, the best coconut oil, and fresh organic strawberries also known as Fragaria gives you already a clear indication, that this perfect dessert is not going to be heavy either on calories or carbohydrates.

1 Medium size Chocolate Strawberry comes to only 19 calories and 1g of Total as well as Net carbs.

That is one of the lowest-calorie Keto Desserts you can have. There is nothing more stopping you to enjoy it.

How Many Carbs are in Chocolate Dipped Strawberries?

With our recipes, you get 1g of Total Carbohydrates per Medium size Strawberry Covered with Sugar-Free Chocolate.

I have calculated the nutritions per strawberry as to me that sounds more detailed as you know exactly how many pieces you can have, not to cross your daily target.

And as you see, strawberries on Keto are a power fruit, with chocolate-covered strawberry carbs at a total minimum.

What is a Keto Approved Chocolate?

To simply answer this question, once you read the labels, every chocolate which has got low grams of carbohydrates and is sweetened with one of the Keto Friendly Sweeteners falls into the Keto Approved Chocolate part. If it is healthy or not, is another task.

Wondering which Chocolate is Keto Friendly?

With so many Keto and Sugar-Free Chocolate Options, it is difficult to choose the right one.

I have a clear answer to it.

Homemade Sugar-Free Chocolates

On Top of the list comes our Homemade Sugar-Free Chocolate Bar.

You make it yourself, you pick your ingredients and you know exactly that there is nothing hidden or an ingredient you are unaware of.

Store-Bought Keto Chocolates

Of course, comes the time, when you just do not have the energy or time to make your own chocolates.

For this reason, comes the second option, which would be store-bought sugar-free chocolates.

By now, there are various brands selling sugar-free, low carb, keto, or no sugar added chocolates.

As I always insist, read your labels. Buying a Sugar-Free Chocolate does not always mean, they are healthy or really low in carbohydrates.

Some Brands, I love and buy are:

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO CREATING HOMEMADE KETO CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES

First Step: Ingredients

First off, prepare all of your ingredients.

Try to get the freshest, organic, and not soft strawberries without any dents as those will get very fast bad under the chocolate.

I do suggest placing your strawberries into the refrigerator as cold strawberries being dipped into the chocolate sauce will harden the chocolate immediately and you will have less chocolate falling from the strawberries.

With regards to the sugar-free chocolate, it really depends on you as I already mentioned in the post above steps.

You can either choose to make your homemade sugar-free chocolate or buy one of the suggested bars.

It is good to chop chocolate bars into smaller pieces as they will definitely melt much faster.

For Coconut Oil, try to get organic, the one with the least coconut flavor if you are not fond of that.

Some of the coconut oils can have a really deep coconut taste.

Second Step: Chocolate Ganache

For the chocolate ganache prepare a double boiler.

As you see in the images or the video attached above, melt crushed chocolate first.

Once the chocolate is melted halfway, add a coconut oil steering regularly. Let it melt, until both of the ingredients combine.

Once everything is fully melted and combined, place aside and let the chocolate sauce cool down to room temperature mixing it regularly.

Third Step: Prepare for Dipping

Once your melted chocolate has cooled down, you can prepare everything for strawberry dipping.

Try to pick a tall glass which is not so wide.

You can either use a small mason jar or water glass with a width wide enough to be able to dip a strawberry in.

Anything too wide would require you to make double the amount of chocolate sauce.

Fourth Step: Dip

Once you’re ready to dip your strawberries, take them out of the refrigerator, and using a kitchen towel make sure they’re dry all around.

The good advice is to stick each strawberry onto one of the barbecue’s wooden sticks as this will help you not only with the dipping process but also for drying.

As you see on the video gently dip the strawberry three-quarter way into the chocolate and slowly take it out of the glass.

Let the remaining chocolate drip back into the glass jar and place the strawberry to harden either on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or if you have used barbecue wooden sticks into the tall glass or a vase.

If you’re planning to use additional toppings or decorations, sprinkle that immediately after dipping the strawberries as that is the time when the chocolate is not yet fully hardened and all of the additional toppings will stick onto the chocolate and hardens together.

Tips and Tricks

Cool Berries – I always advise placing the strawberries or any berries using, into the fridge first as cold berries stick better and make the chocolate harden much faster.

Dry Berries – Using a kitchen towel, make sure your strawberries are fully dry as the chocolate will stick into them much better.

Parchment Paper – Once you are planning to place the chocolate strawberries for hardening, use either parchment paper or a cling film.

Do not place strawberries directly onto the plate as the chocolate will harden and stick to the plate. It is much easier to move them later on from either parchment paper or a cling film.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Can you make Chocolate Covered Strawberries ahead of time?

You can certainly make chocolate-covered strawberries ahead of time.

Make sure your strawberries are fresh and not very soft.

Also, look for any dents as those will make strawberries going bad under the chocolate much faster. You can prepare the strawberries in advance and store them in the refrigerator.

How do you get chocolate to stick to strawberries?

To get the chocolate stick onto the strawberries without the problem, make sure each of the berries is completely dry.

Using a kitchen towel, dry them fully and then you should have no problem for the chocolate to stick onto the strawberries.

I also advise, placing the strawberries in the refrigerator for a while, as the cold strawberries will make sure the chocolate will harden much faster.

Should Strawberries be cold before dipping in chocolate?

This is a tricky question as some people say yes and some people reply with no as an answer.

My suggestion is yes, it is much better if your strawberries are cold, as the chocolate will not only stick faster onto them but will also harden much faster and that will make sure that the chocolate will not drip from the strawberries.

How do you store Chocolate Covered Strawberries?

Once you’re finished making our keto chocolate-covered strawberries recipe, let them cool down on the kitchen counter placed either on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or a cling film.

Once cooled, you can store them in a glass container in the refrigerator for up to two days.

I would not suggest storing them any longer as strawberries as berry fruit do not last really long.
